In an exciting job opportunity for an ex-yacht crew member, SuperYacht References is currently recruiting for a Coaching & Mentorship Coordinator to create and run a programme specific to improving and enhancing the journey of individuals within the superyacht industry.
The ideal candidate must possess a background in the superyacht industry and demonstrate the capability to create a program facilitating the exchange of best practices and skills among senior industry professionals and yacht crew.
By providing comprehensive coaching and mentorship, the initiative aims to inspire, prepare, and empower yacht crew members to reach their maximum career potential. This, in turn, will enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the industry.
Underpinning the core values of Superyacht References, the candidate will also need to organise a Wellbeing Program addressing the mental and physical challenges frequently encountered by hard-working crew members.
The Successful Candidates will be Required to:
- Have active experience onboard superyachts and enjoy working in the industry.
- Research, develop and create a successful Coaching, Mentorship and Wellbeing Programme specific for superyacht crew.
- Use existing contacts and source new contacts within the superyacht industry to build a support network of exceptional mentors.
- Work alongside trusted partners to utilise best practices in psychometric and personality assessments to develop crew.
- Assist in the development of yachting specific crew assessments.
- Using data from psychometric and personality assessments, match crew with the best mentors for their needs.
- Have a good understanding of the challenges yacht crew face and be able to develop programmes that are accessible to working crew.
- Represent the programmes in formal settings i.e. Boat Shows and international forums.
- Actively promote the company to a range of industry contacts.
- Build excellent working relationships with both mentors and mentees.
- Maintain and develop the Coaching, Mentorship and Wellbeing Programme programmes long term.
- Monitor all yacht crew within the programmes.
- Produce monthly reports to the directors.
- Maintain excellent records of the programmes with a clear audit trail.
- Use initiative to make judgement calls in relation to safe-guarding, risk assessment/management, health and safety, equality and diversity.
